MIZORAM EDUCATION Minister Lalsawta resigned from ministership on Tuesday (May 11, 2010). His resignation has puzzled the intellectual circle of Mizoram. The minister holds education, higher and technical education, taxation and law and judicial departments. Education Minister submitted his resignation owning moral responsibility for mistakes in the recent technical entrance tests for filling the state quota in technical institutions in the country. Lalsawta is a very competent politician and the hope of the Mizoram people. He is an extraordinary man in whom people trusted to change the defunct system of government. But he has been outraged by the prevailing maladministration and endemic corruption. Chief Minister of Mizoram Lalramthanga said that Lalsawta is yet to announce his decision on the resignation letter.
