AFTER BEATING Slovakia, Paraguay registered their first World Cup win in FIFA World Cup 2010. The match played at Mangaung/ Bloemfontein, Paraguay won the match 2-0 with one goal in each half. Paraguay was in control of the game from the very beginning. Enrique Vera, the midfielder was picked as the man of the match.
In the game played between New Zealand and Italy, played at Nelspruit’s Mbombela Stadium, the game ended in a draw. Both the team scored one goal each. Daniele De Rossi of Italy was declared man of the match.
In the 29th match of the tournament, Brazil played against Ivory Coast and won the match by 3-1. Two goals were scored by Luis Fabiano and one by Elano has secured the second victory for their team and this guaranteed them one of the top two places in Group G even before the Portugal and Korea’s match, which will be played on Monday. Luis Fabiano, forward, was declared man of the match.
