ONE OF the most anticipated matches in FIFA World Cup 2010, Brazil vs Portugal at Moses Mabhida Stadium of Durban, ended in a draw. Both Group G team, Brazil and Portugal, two of the favorites to win the FIFA 2010 trophy secured their berth into the second round. In the previous group stage match, Brazil won their match against North Korea and an equally competitive team, Ivory Coast winning 2-1 and 3-1 respectively. Whereas, Cristiano Ronaldo's Portuguese team in their group stage match at World Cup football 2010, ended goalless draw against Ivory Coast and impressive 7-0 victory against the North Koreans. In the World Cup 2010 match between Brazil and Portugal this afternoon, Portugal played in the formation of 4-3-3, whereas, Brazil, the favorites of FIFA World Cup 2010 played in the format of 4-2-2-2. From the starting of the game both Brazil and Portugal started attacking each other. In the 14th minute of game, Brazil got closed to the goal but missed it. In the 18th minute, Portugal's Tiago, who scored twice against North Korea, has first shot on goal but his volley was well wide from the edge of the area. At the end of the first half, Brazil was on top, but Portugal was equally dangerous on the counter attack and every player was looking dangerous in the tackle. Cristiano Ronaldo has started the second half in effervescent fashion. However, match between Brazil and Portugal ended in a goalless draw. From Group G both Brazil and Portugal qualified for next round in the World Cup football 2010. Brazil stood top and Portugal was second in their group. Now on Monday June 28, Brazil will play against the second team of Group H at Johannesburg, whereas, Portugal will play against the top team of Group H on Tuesday June 29 at Cape Town in the FIFA World Cup 2010.
