YEAR'S BIGGEST tennis event, Wimbledon 2010 championship is going to start from Monday 21 June at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London. Wimbledon 2010 is the 124th edition of grass court tennis tournament and the third Grand Slam tennis event of the year. The grass court superstar and six-times Wimbledon champion Roger Federer and stylish and powerful Serena Williams are the defending men's and women's champions at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon.
Roger Federer received the No. 1 seed for Wimbledon ahead of world no. 1 Rafael Nadal in a reverse of their world rankings. Wimbledon uses its discretion to seed players based on their grass-court record. In the women's single Williams sisters, Serena and Venus are on the top two positions.
