THE SO CALLED biggest democracy of thw world "india" is democratic just in name. Democracy means for the people, of the people and by the people but despite this slogan people have not attained freedom from poverty, illiteracy and unemployment in this country.
The multi-party system in India is proving to be a failure. India is a secular state and many parties are active in different parts of india. Mostly all parties do politics based on vote banks and appeal for votes on the basis of caste, creed and religion. Some parties have leaders, who have inherited these from their parents. This so called "parivarvad" prevails in some parties.
The parties which have policies based on spreading hatred againgt people belonging to a particular region are also there .They are the biggest hindrance to india's secular image and its integrity.Political parties know nothing of common man .
Our honourable ministers are not only corrupt but also illiterate .Satistics say that some even do not even have a bachelor's degree. Some have not even passed 10th. In parliament these political parties are united only on one thing increasing MP's salary. What an irony! when common man is burdened with inflation they talk of salary hike.
Political parties seems to work on issues which would increse their vote bank as it is sad to see in cases such as Bhopal gas tragedy offenders are still free. Some ministers even face the charges of bullying, murder and extortion. Booth capturing is a common practice during election. Bribery is still a common practice in government offices.Until "babus" will not get money they will not move your file.
Such is the political system of India. Even in 21st century india faces major problems like illiteracy, unemployment and poverty.
