Is it the beginning of an Indo-Pak cyber war?

INDIA AND PAKISTAN have many battles on the ground but now it has gone far to the cyber space. Pakistanis are hacking Indian websites and displaying messages like ‘Beginning of cyber war’.

Last month, a website of a Mumbai based businessman was hacked by a group which called itself Pakistani hackers predators PK. They claimed on the hacked website that: "This is just a warning to all script kiddies Indians hackers. Stop defacing Pakistani websites don't prove us to do something. Your security was good but we like breaking it!"

Similarly, a cyber attack came from the Pakistanis when they hacked Vijay Mallya's official website mallyainparliament.com on Independence Day.

According to Mallya’s office in Mumbai, the website was hacked and the Pakistani flag was placed on the site with a dire message from an organisation claiming to be the ‘Pakistan cyber army’.

Role of Pakistani cyber army is yet to be confirmed. But this organisation has past records of doing such activities.

Earlier in 2008, they had hacked Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s (ONGC) website. They also have a huge fan base on popular social networking sites like Facebook.
