Hyundai ix20 to be launched at Paris motor show


SOUTH KOREAN car-maker Hyundai is ready to unveil a new mid-sized MPV ix20 at the Paris motor show on September 30. The Hyundai ix20 designed at the Hyundai's European R&D center in Russelsheim, Germany. The latest car from Hyundai is the second European car, following the ix35, to adopt Hyundai's new 'fluidic sculpture' design language.

Hyundai ix20 compact MPV will be available in one diesel and two petrol engines. The 1.4 diesel engine come in 76bhp and 89bhp. In standard form the 76bhp version emits 119g/km of CO2 and average mpg is 62mpg. The top range of ix20 with 125bhp 1. 6-litre petrol variant is available with an automatic gearbox.

Features in Hyundai's new mid-sized MPV ix20 include an Air conditioner, stop-start, Bluetooth connectivity, side and curtain airbags and ESP. Company expects the car to get five stars in its Euro NCAP safety test. It is also expected that the ix20 to be offered with Hyundai's intelligent asymmetric eco grille.

Hyundai's ix20 car will hit the road in November in the UK. The South Korean car-maker has not announced the launch date and price of ix20 in India. However, it is expected that car will be launched om the Indian roads with the price tag of around eight to ten lakh.
