Indian High Commission refuses Visa to fake Kabaddi team in Pak

INDIAN HIGH Commission in Pakistan has refused to issue visa to a bogus Kabaddi team planning to visit India for a tour as a result of which the so called Circle Kabaddi Federation of India cancelled a series of Kabaddi matches.

According to sources in Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF), an unknown organisation claiming to be Kabaddi Federation of India had invited  their counterparts  in Pakistan  for  a series  of 15  matches,  which were due to  be played  this  month. However, when  the  news  item regarding  the illegal series appeared  in Indian  and Pakistani newspapers, Pakistan Kabaddi  Federation  took serious notice and  informed legal Armature Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), Ministry for Sports (MFS), Ministry  of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)  and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB)  about  this matter.

“We have received information from India that due to refusal of visas from Indian High Commission in Pakistan, the so called Kabaddi federation has called off the series which was going to be played between bogus teams from Pakistan and India in different cities of india”, sources disclosed.

Sources said that Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) is the genuine Kabaddi Federation of Pakistan and it is affiliated with Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and Pakistan Olympic Association (POA). PKF has only authority to send national team aboard.

Indian High Commission few weeks ago had written a letter to Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan and sought the information about the genuine Kabaddi Federation of Pakistan. In connection with this letter, MOFA requested Ministry of Sports to notify about the authentic Kabaddi Federation of the country.

Armature Kabaddi Federation had also informed Indian High Commission in Islamabad that no such event had been proposed by AKFI and that it had no relation with the organizers of this series. AKFI also said that federation would not be responsible for any untoward incident, which may occur due to the entry of unauthorized personnel from Pakistan in the country.
