South Australia tames Mumbai Indians to claim a place in semis

THE MOST celebrated team in the Airtel Champions League T20, Mumbai Indians, suffered a setback when it was sent crashing out from what can be called as their judgement match. The team from Down Under, South Australia Redbacks, claimed a 5 wicket win over Mumbai Indians on Tuesday in Durban. Incidentally, this match was Rebacks' second win and Mumbai Indians' second loss.

The key players behind this win were Michael Klinger and Daniel Harris, who stood the test of time with their 112 runs partnership.

For Mumbai Indians, Kieron Pollard and Saurabh Tiwary played well and were chiefly responsible for sending the graph up at 121 runs off 10 overs. The team eventually ended up scoring 180 runs off 20 overs. Pollard and Tiwary successfully managed to retain their position behind the crease and score a partnership of 58 runs in four overs filled with boundaries.

Although the batting line up did seem pretty interesting, the horrendous bowling attack and inapt fielding made the Indians pay. Post the loss, Mumbai Indians are virtually out from the tournament and Redbacks have managed to reserve a place for themselves in the semi finals.
