K Rosaiah steps down as Andhra CM

AFTER THE continuing controversy and the instability in the party for quite some time now, Andhra Pradesh CM K Rosaiah resigned today declaring himself non-aligned to any of the Congress groups.

This comes following a recent strife that had been created in the party between YSR’s son Jagan Reddy and others after the handpicked appointment of K Rosaiah as the CM.

Jagan Reddy went out of the way protesting the appointment with his Odarpu Yatra and his controversial remarks aired on his self owned television network.

The controversial remarks against Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh were telecast on the channel following which there was a thorough discussion in the party.

The remarks created a serious ripple in the party but Congress left Jagan without any disciplinary action against him. As a result the episode was re-telecast with the remarks censored.

K Rosaiah has cited health reasons for his resignation and has declared that this step is in no way politically aligned.

As all senior Congress leaders have headed to Andhra Pradesh to assess and handle the situation post Rosaiah’s resignation amidst never ending issues like Adarsh scam, 2G scam, loss to BJP-JD(U) in Bihar election, many more.
