THE NATION'S biggest screen star Rajinikanth celebrates his 60th birthday today. Rajinikanth is a megastar of indian cinema. Rajinikanth is also known as Sivaji Rao. His fans call him as 'Thalaiva'. The megastar who usually prefers to celebrate this day out of town, has decided to spend the day with his family after many years. This birthday is special for Rajinikanth not only because he's delivered the biggest hit of the year, Endhiran, but also because his family has two new additions actor's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth got married to Ashwin, and keeping the new son-in-law entertained alongwith the baby grandson, Linga (Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Dhanush's son) seems like a nice way to celebrate his birthday.
His is the typical story that can be described by the adage "From rags to riches". Rajinikanth, then known as Sivaji Rao, began his service as a bus conductor in a local shuttle bus in Bangalore. And the one who cut the cake along with Rajini was Bollywood big gun Dharmendra, one of the guests of the event, whose birthday falls on December 8. As the two top actors cut the cake, audience couldn’t control their excitement and expressed it with loud cheers.
Rajinikanth started as a 'nobody' and today he is treated like God. Over the years, Rajinikanth created an image of himself that till date no one can compare with.
