Samsung Wave II S8530 mobile handset launched in India


WORLD'S SECOND largest mobile phone manufacturer, Samsung Mobiles has launched Wave II S8530 smartphone for its Indian customers with a price tag of Rs 19,000. Samsung Wave II S8530, which runs on the Bada OS 1.2, is powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird processor. In the latest handset of Samsung, the display size has been increased to 3.7-inches.

Samsung Wave II S8530, a 5 megapixel camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash phone has super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of resolution 480 x 800 pixels, 720p video recording at 30fps. It features include video support of DivX/XviD, social networking sites like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and image editor, Picsel document viewer, scratch-resistant oleophobic surface.

It features also include Geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, image stablisation, touch focus, SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email, Palringo IM, Standard battery, Li-Ion 1500 mAh gives a talk time of up to 8 hours on 2G network and of 6 hours on 3G networks. This phone also has a Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, the TouchWiz UI 3.0, Handwriting recognition and Smart unlock. The phone has DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine).

Samsung Wave II S8530 is equipped with ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor and connectivity options for this handset include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, Edge, GPRS as well as USB. The internal memory of the phone is 2 GB and it can be expanded up to 32 GB, using micro SD cards. The 135 gm. phone has built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support, digital compass, Samsung LBS powered by ROUTE 66.
