Now a mobile phone in India for senior citizens


IN THIS modern techno-freak world our senior citizens are also modern. They also need a cell phone, even they want to search, they also say 'baccha google it!'

 

Technoloy has transformed everybody and everyone in this world - including our senior citizens. Catering to their needs Munoth Communications, based out of Chennai, has come out with cell phones especially for senior citizens. The features of this phone are designed keeping in mind the safety and emergency requirements of the elderly.

 

The cell phone for the elderly has a custom-built SOS button positioned behind the phone. On pressing it a loud sound emanates that lets people in the vicinity know that something is wrong.

 

The phone can be used by elederly citizens to send text, which is pre-formulated, to 10 numbers - be it of family members, friends,and emegency services

 

An in-built Global Positioning System can be activated to find out the location of the person. Furthermore, a censor, through beeps, lets the senior citizen know that he or she has forgot to carry the phone.

 

Available in the price range of Rs. 1400 to Rs. 4000, the phone is affordable, and is currently available only in South Indian markets.
