Lisa Kelly all set with her new TV show, 'Ice Road Truckers'

THE “ICE Road Truckers” star Lisa Kelly is geared up again as she navigates the frozen Canadian roads on History of Channel’s popular series.

“That was fun, but it was very cold out,” Kelly said about her photo shoot, which lead to the inevitable question of how she felt about her sex-symbol status as the only female driver on “Truckers.”

“I don’t know. I don’t know what other people are going to think,” quoted Kelly, 28. “It’s interesting to put a woman’s twist on ‘Ice Road Truckers’ and if that’s how I’m perceived, well, it’s not up to me.”

Kelly grew up in Sterling, Alaska and hails from Wasilla. She’s in the middle of her second season on “Truckers,” and just spent two months hauling cement in India’s Himalayas.

“And the trucks in India are different,” she said. They’re not as big and not very powerful at all, which added to the danger factor. We had an Indian spotter with us for safety’s sake and he ended up being more of a pain than a help — he was confusing me on the rules and making stuff up as we went along,” she added.

And with more and more attention focused on her, Kelly said, “I have nothing in the chamber right now, just whatever comes my way. The show has opened up a lot of doors — I never figured I’d be in India when this first started.”
