Ringo Starr turns 70, to perform at Radio City Music Hall

BEATLES DRUMMER Ringo Starr is celebrating his 70th birthday and influencing his fans to think about him. He has created many milestones by making the iconic peace hand symbol. The musician is going to reach the landmark age today.

To celebrate he is calling everyone to put two fingers in the air to make a V-shaped peace sign on the occasion of his birthday which he famously used during his Beatles days. Ringo wants His 'Peace & Love' statement  to become global as he turns 70. Ringo will celebrate the occasion with a performance at New York's Radio City Music Hall with his All Starr Band.

Ringo was born on July 7, 1940 in Liverpool, his parents, Richard Starkey and Elsie Gleave decided that Ringo should be named after his father. But unfortunately, his parents’ got separated and Ringo with his mother had to move to a smaller house because of financial problems. His mother married again after a few years with Harry Graves and becomes Ringo’s step father.  Ringo got his first drum set by his step father Harry.

Ringo Starr's gold-plated snare drum which comes from the Ludwig Drum Company and was used during the Beatles' 1964 U.S. tour will be displayed by New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. The drum was given to Ringo in appreciation of popularizing the Ludwig name on The Ed Sullivan Show.

There are very few musicians who increasingly have the lagoon of good will that Starr draws from. The members of his band tripped over each other praising him.
