Train hijack worries railway authorities in Chaibasa

The incidents of looting away the iron ore after making goods trains halt between Kendaposi and Shandashali are on the rise in Chaibasa.

The railway administration is worried over this constant threat, which is making it quite difficult for the safe movement of  trains. As trains are halted for hours without information the track is susceptible to train accidents. People living along the railway track, between Jamda and Kharsawan, are also fearful and are afraind that some accidents might take place.

The involvement of some police personnel  is also suspected in these activities. Recently, Gamharia police had seized a truck carrying iron ore. Omprakash Nisad, Chhotu Sardar and Vir Singh Machhuba have been arrested in this relation and are being interrogated.
