INDIAN LEADER always expect royal treatment from all after becoming MPs, MLAs and ministers. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati is quite well known to throw tantrums and getting things done her way. She may call herself ‘Dalit ki Beti’ but she likes to live life like king-size in public as well as in private space.
Believe it or not, Mayawati’s Personal Security Officer (PSO) went beyond his call of duty, when he cleaned the Chief Minister’s shoes during her recent visit to village in Auraiaya district of Uttar Pradesh.
As her helicopter landed down, a personal security officer deployed for her protection forthwith took out his handkerchief to clean Mayawati’s sandals as they got too dusty. The wiping procedure went for few minutes even as Chief Minister stood talking with other officials.
This act was caught by media persons and shown repeatedly to the people on television channels eliciting widespread condemnation. There is no doubt that such acts by Indian leaders only portray the feudal mindset of Indian leadership, which wants to project its larger than life image.
